Safety Training

The Kenyon Snowdrifters have provided an annual snowmobile safety training class since 1969. Classes start in November and finish in mid-December with a driving test. 1969 thru 1971 Pete Ellingson, Mel Kirchoff and Merlin Finnesgard started the Snowmobile Safety Training classes. From 1972 the safety classes were then run by Lance Schuster, Fred Barsness, Jim Berquam and Gary Pavek. They all phased out of teaching the class over a 20-32 year period. Since then Wally Caron and Duwain Egland have provided the Snowmobile Safety Training class.

The safety training program is available online at the website below. They also give all the instructions and locations of the classes and driving courses around the state of Minnesota. Please check it out early in the season to find your closest location.
